I read several different reviews on this and saw where someone called customer service because it kept getting clogged. Customer service recommended dipping it in a bucket of water, along with clearing the blockage with a screw driver. This helped me immensely. I filled a bucket with water and every so often, would just dip in and swish it around. Also, if you don't COMPLETELY clear the blockage, dirt will keep getting stuck. We have clay like soil in some parts of yard and a severely compacted backyard. It was so compacted even my boyfriend was struggling to break the ground (even with watering it daily, days in advance) . Once we got the hang of this aerator, it was a breeze though and I was very happy with it. It was durable and made great plugs. Looking forward to seeing how it transforms our yard in the spring.
